Maryland Jewels tops Cleveland Blaze 104-73
Clinton Maryland – Saadia Doyle led her team with 29 points . Allese Morrison added 22 and Tejahne Malone chipped in 20 points. As the Maryland Jewels goes 1-0 on their WABA season by beating the Cleveland Blaze 104-72. At the GBCS GYMNASIUM in Clinton Maryland.
“Jewels are a solid team. Overall, I think they performed very well against the Blaze and displayed a lot of energy and confidence in their first game of the season,” said Maryland Jewels owner Shannon Nichele.
The Cleveland Blaze was led by Cari Guyton who scored 19 points. Zamica Gage added 18 and Jessica Alexander chipped in 12 points as the Cleveland Blaze fell 0-3 on their season.
The Maryland Jewels head to DC to face the Cyclones on August 18th.
