Keyanna Tate Earned All Star Game MVP Honors

October 29, 2021 – Augusta, GA – Keyanna Tate, Forward for the DC Cyclones earned MVP Honors at the WABA inaugural All Star Game. Tate was the Star of Stars in the Star studded event, filling the stat sheet with 17pts, 19rbds, 4asts & 4blks.

The Keyanna Tate lead Blue team defeated the Red team 101-90 to win the 1st Annual All Star Game. Keyanna’s teammate Domonique Powell dropped 21pts in the win for Team Blue. Kristen Dickerson of the Montgomery Lady Magic, led the Red team with 22pts.

During halftime the 1st Annual 3pt shooting contest was won by Alexia Barrios, guard for the New England Trailblazers. In the 4 player contest, the final head to head round featured the host teams own Eboni Fields of the Georgia Soul.

The Georgia Soul played host to the weekend event that introduced the fans and supporters for the WABA to it’s motto ‘It’s Our Time” and truly lived up to the tag-line of the ‘League of Opportunity”.
