The WABA 2018 semifinal game between the Jersey Expressions & DC Cyclones did not disappoint.
The teams split the season series, both winning at home.  The game was intense from start to finish, as a true rivalry has entered.
With a spot in the championship game on the line, both teams were tight early, resulting in a first-quarter score of 18-16 Jersey.  The highland contested game picked up steam throughout the remaining 3 quarters, with both teams getting hot and picking up the scoring.
The Expressions built a 14point 4th quarter lead before DC made a run late in the game to cut the lead to 3.  With 7.9 seconds remaining, DC had the last attempt at a 3 that would have tied the game, but came up just short, resulting in the final score 88-86 Jersey.
The Expressions were led by Tabatha Richardson-Smith & Ezinne Kalu, who both scored 21pts.  Richardson-Smith also added 7rbds & 7asts.
Next up for the Expressions is a date with the Atlanta Angels in the 2018 finals and a shot at repeating as WABA Champions.
